Phew! I put so much of myself into this. It was exhausting really, but it's already gotten more love than anything I've ever done and I regret nothing. Peace be with you, have a great evening. I love you!

The World II 00:55
2This world will drag you down And it'll burn you out Cos not everyone gets what they deserve -you're lucky if you face, less than you can take Your lucky if you don't end up alone Lots of folks don't even have a home Lots of folks don't even have a home Now home can be a place, or things, or friends you call your own But some people don't even have a home

If I learned a song you know- Something on the radio, would you come and sing along ? -Or Would you just turn up your nose? We've memories of roads All the places that we roamed And I never could've started this alone But some things can only be started alone so I don't know --- - I tried to follow through with all the quest lines But I treated all the side quests more like mains And characters I met in all those chapters Never lasted very long before they'd fade And if you asked me today I'd tell you home isn’t really a place --- - So I’d rather learn songs that my friends know unpopular tracks that you only can download Stuff that sinks deep and can make us feel shitty In ways we’d thought we were alone Those sobering tracks that make us feel comfortably home --- - And idk -Idk, ooh I just don't know, don’t know how to tell you your scene makes me feel so alone --- -

Oh Wow Howdy is recording multi-track different than single track. I was used to practicing singing and playing, mastering performing my songs, and recording that. JT made me sit down and play the parts separately and I realized I didn't actually know most of the songs as well as I'd thought. The best track of that session is in the bonus tracks/covers section of the bandcamp, but the other 9 tracks were awful and it was all my bad. It took a lot of perseverance on my own to get the tracks I could be proud of and there are at least 4 versions of each song/track that I threw out. The first day of writing accompaniments was a struggle. It took four days to just get that first backup guitar ready to record. I struggled. Last day of working on the album I rerecorded a more complex version of that part which I made up on the spot as well as a couple others. It's funny too because all this recording has made my live performance kinda rusty. Always Keep Trying. If you're reading this thinking 'If I could only pick up a guitar', then do it, you already can do that much; and if you keep trying you will be able to do even more. And all these songs: I made them for you.

I wrote these mostly at open mics, on my bike, and at work. Lynn and Poco help me stay alive. Dan gets me out of the house sometimes. My neighbors don't care that I'm a loud fuck and that's wonderful of them, their dog is a barky asshole anyway.. Eva gave me melatonin and is pretty fun. Special thanks to JT of The Barroom Billies for helping record and master the first version, you might not realize but you taught me a lot. Thanks to Scarlet and all my other internet friends for being great and wonderful. Illustrious thanks to Colin Carroll of Sleepy Owl Media & Owls and Other Animals for the album art.

about

The Worst Generation Columbia, Missouri

Acoustic antifolkpunk / porch punk type sounds
FFO: Apes of The State, Matt Pless, Paul Baribeau

I'm just some rando who probably doesn't identify as human in the same way as most do. I'd put my name on these songs but I feel like they are about twice as honest and half as shy as I am able to be as a person so I'm a little uncomfortable with that.
