It took a kitten and a cobra a steamy cup of joe to realize that Indiana is only down the road and going to see Ramshackle Glory play their final show. It was obtainable; was not unobtainable.
Laying in a pile belting cover songs was wonderful.
Trading cheese for beers we felt that place was comfortable.
In a barn full of topless punks we felt like we belonged, and we sang along 300 something strong.
2. 3. 4.
gimme a scene where the sober people give a shit, the drunks all know what they preach about so much. Gimme a scene where we don't forsake our values when emotions clash with logic, reality, and such.
Where we can lay in a pile belting our favorite cover songs without judgmental sneers from peers who think our lifestyles wrong and nobody here ever feels like they're a tag along. it's not unobtainable.

I'm probably a worse person than my Facebook would suggest/
It says I have hundreds of friends and dozens of requests/
But lately I can't shake this sinking feeling in my chest:
I've got way less/
And almost every time that I log in I get depressed. To see my distant relatives spewing hateful text.
Narcissistic memes meant to imply that you're the best: Shit I detest.
Well High school sport fan syndrome seems to've spread to politics.
I've never voted in my life, I don't blow up the internet.
Preaching 'bout how I'm so right and the opposition's crass.
Silently I'll let them burn the world: for the sake of the ash.
and I know I'm a worse person than my Facebook would suggest/
I've left my share of sinking feelings pumping outta chests/
Of ones who called me brother: ones who used to call me friend// never again

The Worst Generation Columbia, Missouri
Acoustic antifolkpunk / porch punk type sounds

I'm just some rando who probably doesn't identify as human in the same way as most do. I'd put my name on these songs but I feel like they are about twice as honest and half as shy as I am able to be as a person so I'm a little uncomfortable with that.
